World Religions: will Excelsior give credit for both DSST & ECE exams?
#1
Will Excelsior accept both the World Religions (DSST) and Religions of the World (ECE) exams towards a degree?

I understand that with Organizational Behavior, Excelsior considers the DSST and ECE tests to be duplicates.

However, with Principles of Management (CLEP) & Principles of Supervision (DSST), Excelsior appears to allow both.

Excelsior also allows both Introduction to Computing (DSST) and Information Systems & Computer Apps (CLEP) .... which are essentially the same tests.

To answer your question I am posting part of a reply from a LA advisor from Oct 08 when I asked about this :
"....you may plan to take DANTES Intro to World Religions. You may also plan to take the ECE World Religions later on for upper level credit as they do not duplicate each other."

Did you take the ECE Religions of the World already ? Not sure if you are aware that it is not being given any longer.

Source Excelsiors website : "The #509 Religions of the World examination will no longer be available after September 30, 2009."

I didn't see the note about the exam no longer being available. Anyhow, that pretty much negates my question. Thanks.

So impressed with your list of accomplishments. I am trying to study Into to World Religion and overwhelmed by the definitions and terms. Can't even say them!!! How did you do it?
