This week I was brought back to earth. my days of half-heartedly studying for exams is over. After breezing through several cleps, aleks and SL courses, I failed this week. American Literature KICKED MY BUTT (41) The exam was waaaaaay deeper than I could've ever imagined. even harder than the petersons test IMO. I also bombed accounting II on SL on the same day.
It was a great run, now it's time to slow down and actually study. 90 credits in 6 months was a great feat though.
onward and upward I go, can't get discouraged, it was bound to happen.

Does or will your overall average for Accounting II @ Straighterline be equal to at least 70% , if yes consider going the ACE transcript route. As you only need a 70 % overall to pass.
BTW ->> 90 credits in 6 mo's is totally awesome> that is 3 years of college in a half year. Way 2 Go!!! So 90 down and 30 left to go.

90 credits in 6 months is excellent! Sometimes life throws these subtle reminders to help us remember that anything worth doing is worth working hard at. It's good to see that you have a healthy attitude towards the "non-pass"; dust yourself off and dive back in with a renewed effort...Good Luck!

ok, this is from the Straighterline website, from the course syllabus.
Online College Courses Distance Learning Courses
Course Evaluation Criteria
StraighterLine does not apply letter grades. Students earn a score as a percentage of 100%. A passing percentage is 70% or higher.
If you have chosen a Partner College to award credit for this course, your final grade will be based upon that college's grading scale. Only passing scores will be considered by Partner Colleges for an award of credit.
So, I would talk to Jennifer at Straighterline and ask for clarification on being able to get the D through FHSU. It is not clear to me if "Only passing scores will be considered by Partner Colleges for an award of credit." is referring to the 70% Striaghterline considers passing, or if it means what FHSU considers passing.
I think you could make a case based on the wording that FHSU considers 60 passing as it assigns it a grade of D. In the end I think it will ultimately be up to both Straigherline & FHSU.
Let us know how it turns out.
You could also retake the course if they won't allow the D:
From FAQ's on Straighterline:
Can I take a course again if I fail it?
Students may retake a for-credit course as many times as they choose. Final grades for retakes will be averaged with the student's previous scores in the course. $399 students will need to repurchase the course. $99/month students will need to notify their Course Advisor and pay a new $39 fee.

Great job with the 90 credits and a healthy reminder that the rest of the trip may require another work.
My 2 cents -- why not pay $99 to SL and just retake the Accounting course and get the grade you should have to get a better GPA wherever you are sending the Transcript?! Yes GPA can make a difference later on.

I agree!! You are doing great. I had a reality check awhile back with College Math. I passed, but not how I wanted to and it made me realize that we all have our weaknesses. We may just squeak by or we may fail once in awhile, but we have to dust ourselves off and get back on that horse. BTW, I have really enjoyed your posts. Keep up the good work! You can do it!
