from where to prepare precalculus?

Hi,

I myself am prepping to take precalculus. I was going to try and take it this last Monday, but realized there was so much I hadn't grasped. :eek: I do have a little background in precal though, so it's not all new.

What I have done so far is, study an old math book and a book called Precalculus demystified. I still found though, that there was a lot I still had to learn. After 'pulling my hair out' and stressing etc... I signed up to Aleks via many recommendations. It sounds like the website will cover more than necessary, but I feel it's better to be overprepped then under prepped. The only downside is cost. It's 19.95 a month. I myself probably won't be using it for more than a month--at least that's my profound hope-- so it works out well for me. They do have a free trial, but you only have so much time to use it after you sign up, and only 3 hours to actually be on it. Or something like that.

As to what Aleks is, my best explanation is that's it's a tutoring site. They give you a test in the beginning, evaluate where you're at, and then tell you what you need to know. They give you many practice questions and very detailed explanations.

Sorry, I never did buy the REA book for this test. So I really don't know.
