ic flashcards?
#1
Ok been a member for a long time but never a member of ic's service. So i took the plunge and invested in the system.

Are these ?s actually from the tests? Or are they created by users?
Theres a place called flashcard exchange where I could have gotten these questions for free.
I dont know, not trying to be rude just didnt expect this.

I.E. here is a ? on the flash card that im wondering if it is on the test or made up by a user.
Methods of drug testing include urine, ________, and saliva.

the answer is hair which is correct but i put blood which is another valid method of drug testing. But I got it wrong.. So im confused.

I have visited the flashcard exchange site and I can tell you it is not similar. IC is test material relevant and is a superior subject review resource. I never use one single resource when preparing however IC is always on the top of my selection list. When I'm learning a subject rather than simply reviewing it, I also read the textbook in addition to using review sources. In my opinion, the flashcard site you noted attempts to offer a textbook of information in a flashcard format but instead provides a disorganized user submitted and often inaccurate presentation which may leave the student overwhelmed and confused. At least that's how it left me when I visited the site.

On a side note, I never type in the blanks. I simple make a mental selection and then review the answers. It seems to speed the process along and helps me with better retention. Of course, everyone is dfferent and perhaps typing in the answers may work well for others.

Good luck to you on your degree journey.

I do the same thing. It gets annoying when you get a wrong answer because you typed in "apple" when the answer was "apples".

IC flashcards are a great guideline for CLEPs and DSSTs, even if you don't learn the concepts from them alone. (You probably won't)

Thats what im doing now is just clicking so i can get the answer and remember it. But i just wanted to make sure that IC was on point and that these were going to be actual questions.
Im going to be taking the DSST test intro to law enforcement and substance abuse and maybe on more.
Wanted to knock out 9-12 credits in social science.
Well thanks all if you say ic is ok then its ok.

I know at first it can be frustrating, but trust me IC works. Obviously they can't use actual test questions as that would be illegal. They do use questions that are very, very similar to the actual exam questions. I too had used flashcard exchange, but those are created by individual users, so I did find a lot of errors on those. While the IC flashcards do have spelling errors the content is very accurate. The particular question you mentioned is correct because it is really asking about qualitative drug testing when you look at the examples given. Blood would be a quantitative testing method which the others are not. So blood is correct, but not in the context of that particular question. Hopefully this will restore your faith in the accuracy of the IC flashcards. You can see my list below of the exam taken with IC and specific exam feedback, using those with or without any other study sources you choose should enable you to reach your goals easily. I did 18 credits in my first month here. I have now done 45 credits via exams in 6 months. I wish you the best of luck. Give it a shot and I think you will be pleased it is money well spent!

I have mentioned the other sites on this forum a few.......because sometimes I/we get a mental block and just need to look at somthing different.......BUT THERE IS NO COMPARISON (in all my goggling) to IC. I love quizlet because I can use the multiply choice option and the brain effort is minimal....but that too is use to break the Brain Block. Could not have amassed 42 CR in three months without IC

The questions aren't on the exam but IC can save study time b/c the cards show you where to focus your effort.

Actually, many of the IC flashcards are on the flashcard exchange site. They aren't similar. They're EXACT. Someone must have copied them a while back. I first noticed it when I was studying for the Natural Science exam a few months ago.

You still need a subscription to IC to gain access to the exam feedback section though.

It hurts all users when someone does that with a proprietary product/information. Google books & some academic sites block copy/print.
