I don't understand why it takes 7-10 days for them to receive the score reports from the testing site? It's on a computer, and I can log in and see my results right there. I just don't get it. They said they only receive the scores on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but didn't really have an answer as to why it takes so long for them to receive them.
I mean it's not a HUGE deal, but I did order expedited transcript service and was told they would overnight it after they received my results, I just never imagined it would take a week or more to receive an electronic score!
Anyone know anything about this? Just curious.

I had a conversation with a very helpful DSST representative perhaps a 6 to 10 months ago. Bottom line was they have very limited staff to do things and this is how it works because of that. Another reason the tests are fairly affordable, but of course that limits the money available for support staff.

Thanks P00057870. That makes sense, it always comes down to money doesn't it! I am very glad that the exams are so inexpensive though, I only wish I would have known about them years ago!

I agree with you -- if these tests and online courses were available I would not be doing all of this 40 years after graduating high school
For all of you who are younger, consider this a tip -- just keep on keepin' on, as you have so many more options than were available before.

I've waited 6 weeks on many occasions; I was stationed overseas but the score was reported to my university. I do remember the anxiety being a killer.

Amen! I too wish I had known about this years ago, but the bias for "brick and mortar" schools was very strong back then. Ah well, live and learn and pass on the good stuff to the next generation.
