NAP,
Thanks for the info. I am new to this site. How do I turn in the course info from Aleks to ACE?

I have not used ALEKS, so I don't know the answer; however, I have gotten the impression that you can send your completed ALEKS courses to ACE through your ALEKS account. There are several people on the board who have done this successfully, so they would know how this works.
Also, he wanted to know which Striaghterline courses are accepted at TESC. Thanks for your help!

There are several people on the board who have done this successfully, so they would know how this works. What you do is sign up and do your Aleks course. In the mean time go on to ACE and sign up for an account. When you finish your Aleks course you go over to already est. ACE account go into your account and place your course under courses that finish and awaiting review. Then ACE will notify Aleks, and then a few days later it should show up on your transcript. Pretty painless. Now Straighterline you complete your course and then ask to have it sent to the school that you picked. You must reg at the school. Straighterline will then send your completed course to the school of your choice. Then you request your transcript to be sent to TESC or any other college that you need to have it sent. Pretty simple.

I looked on the Straighterline website and I think you can have it transferred to ACE if you have an account with ACE. If so, then it is one less hoop to jump thru.

From my understanding, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, is if ACE is used then the grade will come through as a Pass whereas if you went through Fort Hays or other college, it would come through as a letter grade, which in turn if your looking at having a GPA going through Fort Hays would be beneficial although if not worried about GPA then use ACE. Is this correct???

TESC does not give any GPA for any transfer credit. Period. Your GPA will result solely from courses taken from TESC.
I don't know if that exactly answers your question. If not, I will let someone else answer.
