So, as long as I pay for the 4 now, I will have from May 2nd to July 24 to take the exams.
So, I would have the 3 credits for the TECEP in April, then I will eventually have the 3 for the capstone. So I need to sign up for, and pass, 4 TECEPs in the May term. I need to do Eng Comp 1, Tech Writing, Psych of Women and Nurition. I know it's cramming a lot in but the $2000 is a big deal to us.
You must plan to take the capstone online or guided study and not TECEP for residency? I'm trying to make sure I understand the changes. I'm thinking of taking 4 TECEPs in the May term too. Good Luck!

CM1999 is working on a Criminal Justice degree (if I recall correctly), so there is no TECEP capstone. It would be the Liberal Arts capstone, only available as a course (or guided study) and must be taken through TESU.

I am doing the Capstone, plus 4 normal Teceps, plus the one credit Medical terminology tecep (only costs 38 dollars) to get my 16 res. credits.

I'm doing the AAS and BA Psych at the same time.
My plan for residency has changed a bit since I posted this (I just saw managerman's post about the med terminology tecep), here is my plan:
Capstone (next fall) 3cr
Marriage and Family TECEP 3 cr (doing it this month)
and May term:
Medical Teminology TECEP 1cr
Tech Writing 3cr
Eng 101 3cr ---somehow I was given credit for Eng 102 and not Eng 101
Abnormal Psych 3 cr
I will probably also sign up for Psych of Women for May term too...just in case I fail one of these.

Sweet, not a lot of Psych majors around here, can I ask about your plan a bit? For Abnormal Psych that you have planned, I'd highly recommend Study.com, and you can knock out Research Methods in that same month with them to get your two courses a month done.
Were you planning on doing History and Systems of Psych through Tor? I started that at the end of last month, but put it on hold as I started my Ethics in Soc Sci course at TESU this month. History & Systems was taking longer than I accounted for. If you're not using Tor, do you know of any other options? I'm interested in alternatives.

I need to find some 'easy' TECEPs to knock out in May so I'm doing Abnrmal Psych as one of them---otherwise I would have done it through Study.com but I will use them to study for it. I dont plan to use Tor.
Here is what I'm doing:
Study.com:
Experimental Psych
Social Psych
Psych 101
ALEKS:
Stats
DSST:
Fund of Counseling
Substance Abuse
TECEP:
Abn Psych
My understanding is that the Study.com Research in Experimental Psych, Social Psych are upper level. Tecep ABN Psych is upper level and the DSSTs: Fund of Counseling and Substance Abuse are upper level.
The rest I transferred in - including one upper level organizational Psych class (from Patten, I also dont recommend them .

Are you on the 2015/16 catalog? Where are you transferring History/Systems of Pysch from? I don't recall Patten having that.
Quote:Patten, I also dont recommend them
I'm glad I'm not the only one, everyone else but me seemed to have good experiences with them and I thought maybe it was just me. But it seems like everyone else was in BSBA/MBA programs with them, so it's interesting to see that you were in a pysch program and also apparently got a bad taste. Maybe it's just that particular program, being newer and not just converted from the old New Charter school they use to own, is a bad program.

I dont show History and Systems of Psych on my list. I'm not sure how to answer what catalog I'm in. I know it's NOT the current one -on my academic eval it says "2015" ~
and here is what is listed:
Area of Study (15SH must be at the 300/400 level)
Semester Hours Completed: 7.33
GPA Achieved/Needed: 4.000 / 2.000
Complete all 4 subrequirements:
A: Intro to Psychology (Not Started)
> Complete one Introduction to Psychology course.
_____________________________________________________________________ 3 credits
B: Experimental Psych (Not Started)
> Complete one Experimental Psychology course.
_____________________________________________________________________ 3 credits
C: Statistics (Not Started)
> Complete one Statistics course.
_____________________________________________________________________ 3 credits
D: Psychology Electives (In Progress)
> Complete 21 Semester Hours (SH) of Psychology Department
> courses as electives.
> **At least 15 of the 30 credits required within the entire
> Area of Study must be at the 300/400 level.**
Semester Hours Completed: 7.33
So, am I in the catalog prior to the one you enrolled under? History and Systems of Psych isnt on there at all.

Lucky you. You're on the 2014/15, which is a much easier path. The 2015/16 one I'm on has mandatory: Ethics in Social Science, History/Systems of Psych, Physiological Psych, and some others. Not as elective heavy as your catalog. You lucked out for sure!
