Questions about SDC, Straighterline & Sophia

We are looking for four classes before enrolling at his end point school.  
English Comp 2
American Govt 
US History 2
Speech 

Yes we know the EPC will accept Straighterline and Sophia courses. 

Would you suggest one platform over another for those 4 courses? 

Strongly considering SDC over the others.  

It looks like Straughterline has added written assignments for US History 2 and US Govt.  the last time we had a student use Straighterline there were not written papers/projects for those courses - only the multiple choice quizzes and final exam.   


On SDC - Trying to make sure I understand - is the college saver pro unlimited courses and final exams per month or is it limited to 3 exams and then there is an additional fee for more exams?  Help please 

Potentially could add 2 upper level courses if using SDC also but not a requirement

Every option is pretty good! Those additional upper level courses are a distinctive advantage for Study.

You can be enrolled 3 courses at a time on College Saver Pro (2 courses at a time on College Saver [non-Pro], formerly known as College Starter). Unlimited exams and course completions per month. Statements that it was limited to two exams then an additional fee for up to three more per month date back to their old pricing model.

With StraighterLine, I didn’t like it because it only gave you an online textbook without a structured way to learn. The material was also really hard to work through just from memory after reading, so you often ended up looking up the answers.

Study.com offers unlimited courses and exams, and it has a much larger selection than Sophia. One nice thing about Study.com is that you can open more courses at once compared to Sophia, which makes it easier to explore different subjects.
