My Uexcel exam list
#1
I am looking to take the following uexcel exams and because I have no taken any yet, I am a bit hesitant. Can anybody offer a suggestion for which might be a good one to chose first? Maybe one that is more straightforward than the others? Also, if there are any suggestions as to which order to take the exams, that would be great as well! I was thinking to start off with Lifespan Development then move to adulthood and Aging and Gerontology etc...I did already take abnormal and social psychology about 7 years ago but at my local community college. Thank you very much 

Gerontology, Lifespan and Adulthood/Aging should be taken together or back-to-back - lots of overlap.

All psych should be grouped together.

Research I would leave for last, because it helps to understand the ones above.

Also, someday maybe a MS in Forensic Psychology, just for fun.   Oh, and a BS in Animal Behavior.  And, maybe when I'm 85 a PhD in something fun.

My Excelsior advisor told me Lifespan duplicates Adulthood and Aging.

This makes no sense! Why would a school make their own exams duplicate each other, and have one be an UL and one be a LL course, and give them different course numbers?

Is there a particular reason you're going to take exams for courses you already took at a community college? Not sure if they'll let you apply duplicates to a degree program.

Usually for duplicate courses, the newer course bumps the older course out completely. Also, if you took some courses at CC, you won't be able to get enough UL credits for the program. So taking them as UL will bump the LL credits out.

I took the UL Adulthood and Aging first. Trying to take the LL course after the UL might have made a difference. It caught me by surprise. I never expected any of their exams to duplicate.

Thank you for your suggestions! I am looking to attend TESU and I have read for some people, the lower level and the upper level will count as credit but even so, I do need the upper level credits. I also am in need of more graded credits because my GPA is only a 2.7 right now and I would Ideally like to raise it to a 3.2 by the time I graduate. I am hoping I can score an A on these exams.

For the 2 UExcels mentioned earlier, TESU counts them as 2 different exams non-duplicating, so you're good there.

For your CC courses and then taking the same through UExcel, TESU will not count them twice, they will duplicate.
