Did you contact RPNow? I think they're the ones who will need to "overturn" their own record of your violation... Best of luck!

I haven't taken Corporate Finance yet, but I feel like this one is tougher to study for. I've been through the slides carefully, and it seems like plenty isn't explained well, to someone who doesn't have the prior knowledge. For other exams, there was a lot less of this. Overall there seems to be a lot of material, so maybe it's okay to not understand a few of these, but there are so many. I get the sense that the person who did the slides didn't really understand the material, but I guess I wouldn't know. Much of this I still don't understand. I will be doing some extra reading to supplement the slides. I will expect this to be one of my lowest grades, despite putting in effort.

I did contact RPNow however they said the violation reports and videos are sent automatically to the school after review, so it's out of their hands and up to the school to decide. Davar did get back to me with a copy of the videos, along with the corresponding violation times reported by RPNow. I was flagged for writing on a scratch piece of paper. It was my understanding that one blank sheet of paper is allowed during exams, though I didn't see it clearly stated either way on the website, I've used both RPNow and ProctorU with blank paper with no issue before. I used the blank paper during the essays to brainstorm and jot things down before typing paragraphs and that was flagged in two exams. I even got flagged for taking out my pen and opening the cap to write. All of which were flagged as accessing reference materials.
I've asked Davar to let me know about their policy with what's allowed, and I also told them that they should have it clearly stated on their site or main page for taking exams so that students know what to expect going into the exam. I'm waiting for their response to this, but I don't believe this is grounds for failing me on those exams or even making me retake them.

I just took Corporate Finance at a B&M in-seat, and I can tell you that it's a hard class, period. I went to a an "easy" school so the teacher dumbed it down a bit - like half the material, etc., It's really not so hard once the teacher explains it, which my teacher did, but the book really did not explain how to get real answers, and if I would have had only the book to rely on I would not have done well at all.
I was originally looking at adding a finance concentration, but then I thought that it just might be too hard to test out of, because the finance textbooks just do not explain the material well enough.

I received immediate scoring on the Mid-Term Exam and my Final Exam was entered into the system as 'Need to Score' after completion, leading me to believe that a second payment wasn't necessary in my case.
To confirm, I did them in the wrong order and on different days, and wasn't required by the software to pay the second time.

That's interesting. Yesterday I found some Study.com videos for one topic. I tried to find YouTube videos but they weren't explained too well. The search terms I used were too specific. I am generally good at learning from just written material in textbooks. I will see how it goes with just the textbook. It is time consuming if I have to find and watch multiple videos. I am behind on my Davar plan.
I hope you reconsider. There are many good videos. If I wanted to spend more time, I would take MOOCs or find real video courses that are many hours long.

Are there videos for finance? And are they really helpful?
Also, I CAN learn from books, but only if the material is really explained well. Most textbooks are well written, but for some reason, I find that higher level math and finance (and even accounting, which is my major), is not always explained well. I think that this is done on purpose .

Great. Does anyone know about the case study for Intro Marketing? It seems like it's referred to in the singular a few times, but then in the Word file, it has 2 case studies. I guess I was considering it when it was just one case study, but two? They aren't very long, but I am comparing it to the effort of taking the CLEP which has no writing at all. I'm probably not doing this through Davar, but I thought someone else might like to know about the Word file.

Sorry about your troubles with this I hope they let you pass.
Yes, they should!
Instead, they show it right as you're about to start the exam. It will say that the exam has no exceptions to the normal policy, or it will say it has an exception. It will say that a calculator is allowed. I posted yesterday about the exams I asked about.
I believe it won't also say scratch paper, but I forget. I will pay attention when I take my finance exam today. Scratch paper might only be allowed for the ones that allow a calculator.

I am sure there are good ones out there. I agree it's harder to understand from books, as you say.
I'm not sure which are good, but these seemed good from the description, especially the ones that say "non finance"
