DAVAR June - Unlimited exams $99
Keep in mind Davar is in Israel. This may be part of the problem.

Okay well I don't see it now but I swear they used to have an Israeli Address on their page but if they are in fact in Israel this could account for the delay in response as well as the unwillingness to call

Ideas Wrote:Yeah. You only need the 2 non-Intro Davar, 1 DSST, 2 TECEPs, and then a 6th class. Dfrecore thinks a CSU-Global or Study.com might count for the 6th, but maybe neither of them counts. It seems very unlikely the Study.com would work to me, since the Davar one doesn't. The CSU-Global one is considered project mgmt and I bet it doesn't count as FIN.

I would inquire about the CSU Global CBE for Managerial Economics since Money and Banking is accepted and is an economics course.

To follow up on my previous post, in Corporate Finance it did specify that calculator and scratch paper were allowed.

I took Business Ethics. I am not sure I recommend it for someone new to the topic. There are 147 slides. I had some prior exposure to the material, about a third, but I had forgotten a lot of it. I studied the slides pretty well, although I knew I was forgetting some of the material because it has a lot of different names. (Theorists, all the different points they made, and arguments against their theory. It was easy to get some of them mixed up.) A lot of questions were about things I have never heard of at all. Completely different names, etc. In addition, I felt many of the questions were also worded in tricky manner. So it helped that I am a good test taker, but I was nervous. One or two questions were incomplete. I did pass, barely, with a 72. Now this course also requires two papers and a third assignment. They will be relatively easy, but I had been hoping to score mid 80s or high 80s, so that there was even less pressure with the papers. I need to average 65.33 on these assignments.

I have done little else besides Davar for 8 days now and will continue. I have begun studying for American Government, to give me a short break from finance. I don't really like studying history, but I'm sure I can do this.

Happy to say I passed Info Lit, Intro to Computers and Public Speaking, although I did fail American Government. Just an FYI on intro to computers, my test bank was almost pulled exclusively from the quizzes and less is more on the fill in the blanks.

Onto Managerial Communications, hopefully it's not too terrible. I wanted to finish 3 more, but it's getting down to the wire so I may cut Intro to Biology since that seems like a LOT of information. I may have to go Saylor on that course, unfortunately.

Has anyone heard what next month's special is yet?

I just finished Business Communication... I definitely got essay questions that were from the second set of slides. I didn't really know them so well as I just glanced at the new slides (almost double!) and hoped for the best. Well, at this point the best I can hope for is a pass...

Update. I just finished FIN 310 or Multinational Business Finance. I feel good about the test overall. I did not see any surprises that were not on the PDF pages. I am behind in my studies as my internet was down all weekend. Looking forward to knocking out some more tests now that it is up and running again. I think I'll try advanced strategic management or business ethics next. Good luck everyone on sprinting to the finish line!

This is highly motivating, as it is one of the last Davar Academy tests that I do need to pass. Would it be safe to say that the PDF Pages are enough to have a good grasp of the materials? And were there calculations involved?

I just checked my download for American Government. The quizzes do not have answers! I'm not going to waste any time doing them, when there is no way to check my answers anyway!!

For this one I bought the book, and that's what I'm going to use.

I have been disappointed in the book because there are no chapter summaries/reviews. Overall I am surprised that Pearson Higher Ed put out this book in this format. It's only 4 years old, but seems like a cheaper or older book. I am a bit nervous about the exam because it seems like it has more history than the book really covers. I am pretty weak on history. I may look for some other study material.
