Please check your PM, HistoryMaker. Thank you again.

You are very welcome, Supermind. I am checking your message now.

Sent! Check your email and Best of Blessings. I wish that I had enough to give to everyone that wanted one and I do hope that the grads who are not going to use them share them here. Again, Best of Blessings!

For those of you who have tuition assistance/reimbursement, use it or lose it! *sigh* I don't have tuition reimbursement, otherwise, I would use it - currently, the company only reimburses Biz/IT certifications (I don't believe I never used it at the old company I worked at, they had tuition assistance of only up to $1500).

I just talked to a friend of mine who works at UPS as a package handler/part-time driver. PT employees get Tuition assistance of up to $5250/year. Here is their TESU website link.

Link 1 https://www.tesu.edu/ups/top-10-tips-for-applicants
Link 2 https://www.tesu.edu/ups/tuition-voucher-program
Link 3 https://www.tesu.edu/ups/costs-tuition

The Per Credit Tuition Plan allows you to pay for each undergraduate course at the time of registration.
The undergraduate per credit tuition cost is $309. -- This is cheaper than in-state pricing! Woohoo!
Anyways, if you work for any company that has tuition assistance/reimbursement, Yes... do use it!

I think it could be hard to get tuition reimbursement in some companies when using alternative credit.

I can't see taking TESU courses such as the capstone being an issue, but trying to claim reimbursement for courses taken at Straighterline or Study.com might look a bit odd to a lot of companies.

Unfortunately, for me, my company will only reimburse courses that are directly related to the job, so reimbursing for a liberal arts degree won't fly.

That's true, I wouldn't even try getting reimbursement for SL/Study.com, the main things I would get it for would be the Cornerstone/Capstone/Residency Waiver and that final graduation fee... whatever fee that's from the institution itself and not an ACE/NCCRS course provider.

Every policy is different and if you can justify that the class is needed for your job or future development then perhaps is could be reimbursed particularly if it led to a certificate. I do agree that it is generally more difficult to get reimbursed for courses that are pass/fail and not at a typical educational provider but it is always worth asking. I know some companies are now updating policies because of the expansion of MOOCs so perhaps that extension could apply to others like SL or SDC.

Reg the Scholarship voucher, TESU has replied that it only applies to online or guided courses, and hence, the cornerstone would not qualify for that. The voucher can be used for the capstone. The question I now have is reg the ‘2 courses clause’. Is it mandatory to use the voucher for 2 courses, or can one just use it for the Capstone alone? Has anyone else tried it?

You bet that's what I thought, the Cornerstone will not qualify for it. I don't know what your plan looks like, but the majority of people only take the Capstone at TESU unless there is absolutely no other offering for alternative credit for cheap.

If the Capstone is the only course you will take from TESU, give the second voucher to someone else in need (*smile*) as I am going for the BACS/Math major. Order your capstone and decide what to do afterward, just don't waste it.
