Has anyone taken Sophia's new English Composition II course? I'd love to hear a review, specifically if we are allowed to choose our own research paper question or if one is provided for us.

I haven't, but the syllabus lists "Choosing a Manageable Research Topic" as a major content area. So I'd assume you can choose your own subject.

For the main long assignment (with outline and annotated bibliography), you choose your own topic. There are shorter essays within the course that have prompts, but the main written assignment is your choice!

May I ask you if this course is under review by TESU for credit recognition? I don't see it listed in the partner list on sophia.org (unlike English Comp I).

I've been monitoring the partner list for this course on https://www.sophia.org/online-courses/en...osition-ii, in the hope to see TESU listed too. The 14 partners listed have been there since the end of November 2019.
Unfortunately TESU is still missing...
That being the case, I have to consider some other provider for Eng Comp II, as I'm afraid that it would not transfer to TESU.

Confirmed with TESU that this transfers in fine and is on my degrees as a planned course - I anticipate taking it soon.

Well, my son is a couple weeks into the course and it's well laid-out and easy to follow. However, he is unable to submit the next assignment until the previous one is graded, and we've been waiting a week for the current one (only 2 pages) to be graded. That's frustrating.
