Applying for TESU | 16 years old

I'm sixteen and I have earned about 54 credit, I would really like to apply to TESU. I'm wanting to get a associates(may be a bachelors) in computer science. I've read on this forum that they have allowed underage applicants that have a good amount of credits earned. I recently contacted TESU and the person said that they aren't accepting anyone under the age of eighteen anymore. Is there anyway I can get accepted? Any help is appreciated!

Their policy may have changed. Do you happen to have a high school diploma, GED, ... ? Maybe there is a dual enrollment policy?
There certainly are alternatives to TESU also offering degrees in CS.

I do not have I high school diploma yet, but I am going to graduate this year. What 'alternatives' would you recommend? It doesn't look like Excelsior or Charter Oaks offers degrees in CS.

You're 16 and you're going to graduate high school with college credits in hand? Great job Lulu! Are those mainly CLEP/AP credits or did you do the ones from ACE/NCCRS providers? There are so many ways to get this done, but this is how I would do it.

1) Complete more credits until you reach 18 and apply to TESU, you can work towards the BA of your choice and leave the final two courses to be completed at TESU. Just make sure to do the age waiver and complete the Associates/Bachelors together, so you will be charged once for application fee, grad fee, residency waiver, etc.

2) If you need an Associates really quickly, because you're 16, COSC has an Associates of Arts/Science. This is a general studies Associates, but you can dump all your Computer Science courses into it. I would then work on the Bachelors in General Studies with a Computer Science concentration. If this is not what you want, refer to #1.

Note: For the price, the COSC would be cheaper than the TESU Bachelors. You may want to consider the energy/money/time you are going to invest into the degree and decide which would you prefer. If you have more questions, reply to this thread.

Thanks for the suggestions. Most of the courses are ACE credits, most of which I got through completing study.com courses. Out of the options I would just wait and get a BA in CS because most IT careers that I'm looking would require it.

Yeah, and if you're in the USA then there's WGU, you can apply when you're 16. They have a BSCS degree which is pretty good, it's competency based and you should apply after you have 90 credits or more for transfer. Just make sure to do ALEKS and CSM as well for your College Algebra and Stats requirements.

Indeed, if you are within the US WGU is an option, or COSC. Be sure to get a degree plan asap, otherwise you'll probably be busy working on courses you don't need.

TESU does not budge on the 18 year old requirement. I guess years ago they did but now it is firm at 18.

 Maybe look into WGU they accept 16 year olds. Before enrolling you might have to finish your high school diploma. This would sense financially as well since then you could qualify for more scholarships and aid. If I were you I'd hold off on enrolling until you graduate high school.
