I don't remember if Stars and Stripes has an advertising section, but you should also consider that news paper to advertise in along with the Military times. I know when I was deployed, that is all that I would read since it's free for everyone out there. And since there are education centers in all the major bases overseas that offer CLEPs/DSSTs/ECE, it might be a good idea to put the word out that way also.

I would try to let the public know DSST is not just for Military any longer. I called a college just last friday about pricing and they only give CLEP the person I talked to thought DSST was still just for military personnel.

Unless this was suggested already, how about making and posting a YouTube video?

Brian,
That's a great idea! Even us "oldies" are searching YouTube for information these days - some professors have put great little topic "classlets" up there - I have used the Math and Statistics ones a lot already - it is great for visual learners!
Definitely do an InstantCert YouTube!

Wonder what it would take to get a link on a news website like CNN or a mention in one of the publications put out by Dr. John Bear's successors?
There's so much information on these discussion boards that it would be entirely possible to put together your own book with the IC plug (or chapter) in it, with the coupon code for the trial month in the back of the book as a teaser. Sell it on Amazon...there are publishing houses out there that will publish on demand, so there would be no need to sink a bunch into copies for your attic, and some of those places also do (and deliver) an e-book version.
Sorry if I've repeated something that was already here.
Good luck!

Ok guys,
I found a forum on Military.com. I wanted to start a new thread on there to attract more people to Instantcert and IC Forums. However, the vodka that I've been drinking tonight has given me a brainfart and I can't seem to put together something that will sound educated and will attract folks over to our IC Community. Can someone forward me some ideas or maybe someone with more IC experience can post on Military.com. I know this is lame, but I don't want to mess it up by posting something that I shouldn't have.
A little help here please.

My recommendation would be to get in touch with high schools senior and so on, great way to reach college kids and more. Another idea is to develop a compaign for busineses promoting it as a supplement to their educational programs. These are just a few idea I have and I hope this jump start the brainstorming process.

i agree with a lot of these guys about the military thing. the military is the biggest customer of clep/dsst/ece exams. Put an ad in the military times and you will get tons more customers.

Watching college classes on you tube??!! I LOVE this forum & I learn something new on this forum almost every visit. Maybe you should market this forum or a section of it as premium. When I first started using the cards, I thought the forum came as a bonus. It was so valuable that I wouldn't cancel my subscription even when I was working on classes that didn't require IC. Again, just one student's opinion.
