This is a few months old, but I don't recall seeing anything about it here.
We've talked about a few of the ABA hybrid programs, the non-ABA California online programs, but it's really cool to see that the ABA is softening it's stance and is open to fully online programs.
St. Mary’s Law launches the nation’s first fully online J.D. program approved by the ABA
https://www.stmarytx.edu/2021/online-jd-launch/
It is of course going to be very expensive, in comparison to what we try to do on these forums, but it's notable nonetheless.

St. Mary's is very expensive, but a good school in SATX. Might look into this.

St. Mary's as a whole is decent; the law school is famously terrible.

"will have a tuition rate in alignment with the current in-person, part-time program tuition rate."

Awesome.....expensive AND online AND many lawyers from low tiered schools rarely make the salary to make it worth the financial risks. Higher ed really is disconnected from reality. Amazing.

The competition to get into their online program is crazy, due to the fact its the only fully online ABA accredited program. Better have top gpa and lsat scores. I bet admissions will become easier as other schools start offering online options (fully online)

But even beeing ABA accredited you cannot go to NY with it no?
NY does not accept online degrees if nothing has changed. I'm wrong?

I don't know, but Texas also says they don't accept online degrees, so they had to have made an exception for St. Mary's. Of course, St. Mary's is in Texas. Other states might have to reevaluate their rules since ABA is accrediting 100% online JD programs now.
