Just registering for this TECEP will allow you to keep your catalog for another year, or you are going to have to register again during the year (if you need to)?

When the account is inactive, you have three years to reactivate the account by enrolling again. If those 3 years are up, you lose the catalog year and are subject to the newer changes in degree requirements (if any) in the year you reapply. For example, my BA Biology/Comp Sci is a 2018 catalog year, I kept updating it until December 2021. It has lapsed for a year and a half, I can wait until the end of the year to enroll and still keep my catalog year.

Basically, for the Biology I only have two upper level, I haven't progressed far enough and need a few more classes for that degree, I have all the courses with labs, just need to finish a few upper level courses and am planning on the local 4 year college/univ and taking their courses online... For the Comp Science, I am needing 3 more classes, Calculus, Capstone, Computer Architecture.

Just enrolling and 'forgetting it' will enroll you for another year. So, for example, your student status is active until the end of this month. If you register for the cheapest 1 credit TECEP, it will enroll you for another year even if you 'miss the exam'. If you still can't get all your credits to complete the degree, rinse and repeat, it will add another year each time.
