This is exactly what I did. $7 well spent.

Hey everyone,

I actually ordered my official Pierpont transcript recently and have received it. I can confirm from my transcript info that the BOG AAS degree with an Area of Emphasis in Information Systems was indeed awarded to me on August 4, 2023. I imagine that others who have had the same portal issues as me have most likely had their degrees awarded already.

Actually, I was also offered an AOE in either Math or Science by Nancy Parks based on the classes I did in my Community College, but I decided on Information Systems because it better fit my current career goals.

Oh, please share which courses were used for this AOE. The wiki doesn't mention a Criminal Justice option.

The wiki does, just not directly. If one checks the Pierpont catalog, there are seven or eight pages of potential Areas of Emphasis. Somewhere between two and three dozen possibilities. A few are impractical or impossible. I don't think one could get an AoE in Licensed Practical Nursing, for instance.

But if there is an actual desire for it, I suppose it'd be possible to add a fuller list of AoEs that can be obtained entirely with alt credit.
