Transfer to TESU Questions
#1
For anybody who is interested in 3 credits Upper Level Statistics (i.e. for the BA Mathematics or for the AOS electives in the BACS):

The EDX Microbachelors from LSE "Statistics Fundamentals" might work for that.

Yes, thanks blue. I just thought that it would be good for people to know that there are other ways to get UL Statistics credits. If one can get financial aid (90% off) through EDX, these 3 credits might only cost about $100, which is much cheaper than statistics.com. Also, I am sure people know that you get an additional 3 UL Statistics credits from SAS Advanced Programmer course on Coursera.

Related question: I wonder if any of the statistics.com courses can be used as UL courses in the TESU BACS degree? If anybody is currently enrolled in that degree and could ask that, I would much appreciate it.

Am I reading it right that you need TWO science with lab courses for the BS-Data Science and Analytics at TESU, one in the scientific knowledge and one in the AOS?

If so, I am thinking that Biology with Lab at Sophia is a good choice for our son. He doesn't like chemistry, so that is not a good fit.

Another option, as I see it, would be astronomy at ASU.

My question is: Is the nutrition lab still an option at Rio Salado?

bumping your post for those more knowledgeable. For some reason I can't seem to find the right links to the wiki for Gen Ed science options.

it does look to me that for that degree at tesu, you need two lab sciences.
so... experts...
Rio Salado FON100LL: can it be taken as stand alone, or must be with concurrent or previous enrollment in the class. can it get mix/match with general class from other sources when transferring to tesu?

hope you get answers. hoping this bump helps. I don't know anything.

I know that back in the olden days before Sophia science labs, many took the Nutrition course somewhere else (SDC, Straighterline) and then the lab at Rio Salado. It was just over $200 back then just for the 1 credit lab, which is supposedly super easy and mainly consists of a food diary. I was thinking that it might still be a good choice for those that prefer ease over money savings.

I'm really excited to come across this information about the EDX Microbachelors program from LSE for Statistics Fundamentals. As someone who is interested in pursuing a BA in Mathematics or exploring AOS electives in the BACS program, obtaining 3 credits in Upper Level Statistics would be extremely beneficial.

Since Sophia Visual Communications comes in as COM-231 Two-Dimensional Design at TESU, I wonder if that fulfills part L (Communications) in the Business Core? If not, is this course any other use other than Elective?

It covers Part C Knowledge of Human Cultures in general education requirements or it can be a free elective.

For Part L you should be able to use Sophia Business Communications or Business 113 Business Com from Study.

I had already penciled in Bus 113 from SDC Business Communication for Part L, but I just thought that this might be a more fun alternative.

So you don't think it can be used in the Business Core then?

Also, are you sure that it works for Part C Knowledge of Human Cultures??? Which part, Social Sciences or Humanities?
