"Simone Biles never attended UoPeople"
LOL you didn't need a data breach to realize it was an obvious scam. I mean, I'd already called out that fake news from the University of the Pepole, but some die-hards kept insisting that Simone Biles was actually a student there  Big Grin

"I'm more curious about how a person born in 2069 graduated ?"
well, after the University of the People handed out diplomas to dogs, graduates born in 2069 don't even raise an eyebrow anymore.
If uopeople truly does give "diplomas to dogs", then WGU, UMPI, or TESU are no better, cause all of them have the SAME accreditation.

If you truely below in this stuff, and have concrete proof, then please email wscuc about it. They gave it RA after all.

Please stop annoying us with your (probably paid) hate mongering.

I can say I haven't seen any rumors about UMPI giving diplomas to dogs. And WGU, UMPI, and TESU don't have the exact same accreditation. Yes, they're all RA, but they're accredited by different organizations.

I'm still shocked that U of the P was able to become RA. Seems like the requirements for RA are slipping as the professors are volunteers and students grade each other's assignments which is just awkward. Maybe these things have changed. Still doesn't sound like a legit university with the name.

They are all RA, when it comes to further studies, credit transfers, or anything else, that's what matters.

Moreover, do you know more about the school than the accreditation body? If so, then please email them about your grievances.

Quote:"Simone Biles never attended UoPeople, her name was not in the database. (Mod note: Or she requested that her data be removed.)" I honestly don't think anyone cares.

If you don't care, then why are you replying?  Big Grin
The truth is that for too many years you guys have been telling us this lie about Simone Biles having attended the University of the People.
And every time that, in any list, whether public or private, it comes out that Simone Biles was never enrolled, you pull out the excuse that "she had her name removed" Big Grin It's ridiculous.

PS:  I run a university where LeBron James and Steph Curry are enrolled. Recently, Elon Musk enrolled too.
And why don't you see them in any list?
Because they asked to have their names removed

I don't care where Simone Biles went to school because I don't care who Simone Biles is. I actually had to look her up when you first went on your tirade months ago and was surprised to see her impressive results in the Olympics. However, I watched Michael Phelps win in multiple Olympics and I don't know anything personal about the man except he got caught smoking something one time. When I watch the NBA, I'm not doing background checks on players specifically on their college education. I don't care about the academic qualifications of athletes and UoPeople.

PS: Did Simone Biles beat you in the Olympics and this is some kind of revenge plot to take her down?  Big Grin

edit: I just thought your previous comment was misleading.

I dunno why you think a reddit thread is a credible source but the full sentence from the same source was "Simone Biles never attended UoPeople, her name was not in the database. (Mod note: Or she requested that her data be removed.)" I was objecting to your fake new than protecting UoPeople or Simone Biles. I wouldn't care even if UoPeople loses accreditation and Simone Biles gets her medals stripped tomorrow.

Not defending Uopeople, or anything, but data removal is possible, and some people have asked for it.

I know a few alumni that had asked for their data to be removed, and because of their foresight, their data was not leaked with the public database leak.

Tbh if you are an alumni, do send them an email asking them to remove your data; Uopeople need to abide by California's data protection laws, and thus they would follow through with your request.

Don't you realize how ridiculous you are? Big Grin
So you come here claiming that Simone Biles studied at the University of the people,
that she's a "school ambassador"
and that she "funds scholarships thanks to a partnership with the school"
while at the same time Simone Biles is asking for her data to be removed? Big Grin
Even an idiot would be able to understand that there are things in your statements that don't add up.

There’s no shame here in starting out at a school enthusiastically then washing out quietly.

True, but in this case the point is that she never even started out in the first place Big Grin The whole thing looks like a staged publicity stunt.

Someone seems to have run analysis on this data; the findings are quite interesting.

https://www.reddit.com/r/UoPeople/commen...ta_breach/

I've applied to UoP before. Part of me is curious, but the other part of me feels lazy to find what might just be my phone number and name at most on there.

I enrolled for two semesters about 2 years ago and I found that a lot of the discussion points and how they graded my paper was full of AI, which instantly gave me no desire to continue with them lol.

Now that there was a data breach I was worried a lot of my information such as my home address, phone, emails, phone numbers werent leaked. I checked my dark web services with NORDVPN (recommended by others on the UOPeople reddit page) and it does not seem like mine information was leaked.

For VPN services, it's always going to be Mullvad for me.
