European International University

(02-07-2026, 04:41 PM)Sagan Wrote: Membership is not accreditation.

All of this--9 pages so far--falls under the category of "If you have to ask...."

There have been zero assertions of membership in place of accreditation on these 9 pages for EIU or for any school mentioned?
If people can tolerate 400 pages of ENEB discussion, they can tolerate 9 pages of EIU analysis.

For anyone who wants a quick summary without reading every page, EIU-Paris currently has the following points of verification and dislosures:

1. ASIC UK Accreditation (Institutionally)
2. ACBSP Accreditation (Programmatic for its Dubai Regional Campus & Duabi online LMS for the Dubai Regional Campus DBA/MBA/BBA)
3. Duly registered in France with a UAI Number assigned by the French Ministry of Education which confirms administrative authorization to operate as an educational provider.
4. IEE (NACES Member) Evaluation as Equivalent to a US degree (for the BBA Top up without ACBSP accrediation)
5. Its non-Dubai Campus, non-ACBSP BBA degree (that I hold) has been accepted for entry into an Italian MUR-regulated Master's level program
6. Is not a French State-accredited degree (Not a diplômes nationaux but instead is a Diplome D'etablissement, a private degree and not state-sponsored)
7. Pursuing inclusion in the RNCP Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (France’s National Register of Professional Certifications)
8. It is a private distance learning institution legally allowed to confer institutional awards under Chapter IV of France's Education Code, and is not a French Public University.
9. It does hold memberships with BGA (UK), ATHEA (Europe) and ECEBE (Belgium), however, that was never the topic of the discussion.

Public verification is available via the French government’s official education portal on the:
Ministère de l’Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse (France’s Ministry of National Education and Youth)
https://www.education.gouv.fr/acce_public/search.php#search_results
(UAI Code: 0756213W) The UAI (Unité Administrative Immatriculée) number is a national education administration identifier assigned by the French Ministry of Education to institutions authorized to operate as education providers in France.

While a UAI does not confer authorization to award diplômes nationaux or RNCP-registered qualifications, it does constitute formal governmental recognition and administrative supervision for lawful operation within the French education framework. This is distinct from state degree accreditation, but it is not “nothing,” and it is publicly verifiable.

I get that a person might still disagree, but I’ve spent the past week laying out the facts and explaining the framework in detail.
At this point, I’m a bit tired of repeating the same points, not interested in going in circles, and I have other priorities I need to focus on right now.

So I’ll be taking a break from the forum for a while. Thanks everyone.

Edit: Redacted copies of my IEE (NACES) evaluation outcome and my Italian MUR-regulated program acceptance are attached below for documentation purposes. Personal details removed. These are posted simply for documentation purposes for future readers, not to argue with anyone further.

Congrats to the recipient, but it looks like IEE made some big mistakes there. These FCEs are just a mess. Call me crazy, but I think people who do that job should actually understand how the system works. They have people on salary making mistakes that would never be made by experienced people in places like this and DI.

EUROPEAN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY is a racket to pawn naive people

EIU–Paris is not a university; it is registered as a distance learning center. In France, the term “university” is not a protected word in company naming, as it is not a French term. This appears to have been used strategically, creating a potentially misleading impression, as many individuals rely on the name and assume it represents an officially recognized university.

You cannot get the name université in your company set up as thats the sensitive word in france to add in companies - Hope it Explains well
link for you to see their company status https://freeimage.host/i/2-3.qfvyfhg
They are a Private limited company
Govt Website https://www.education.gouv.fr/acce_publi...&uai_ndx=1

Their non-ACBSP programs are not recognized as accredited degrees and are issued as autonomous certificates. They are generally not accepted by major credential evaluation bodies or recognition authorities, including NARIC, WES, or other international frameworks, unesco etc. While one or two individuals may have obtained a positive evaluation from IEEE based on their own prior qualifications or individual merit, such outcomes appear to be exceptional. In the vast majority of cases, recognition or equivalency is unlikely to be granted.

A few things to keep in mind:

In France “université” is reserved for public, state universities that issue national-level diplomas like Licence, Master, and Doctorat (known as the LMD system).
However, the actual English word “university” is not reserved in the same way for company names, so private institutions can operate legally as distance learning centers.
Having a UAI number means the school is registered with the French education system. It does NOT mean that it is a public university. But also does NOT mean it is a scam.

There is a difference between Public, state-accredited national diplomas and Private or autonomous programs issued by legally registered educational institutions
That is a separate system. Credential evaluators will make a judgment for their own needs and criteria. Results differ from case to case as they judge based on their needs.
A mixed evaluation result is not fraud.

If people don’t want private distance programs, that’s OK, but not to call every non-public institution a “racket” and so on.

Let's keep the discussion factual.

Edit: Credential evaluation agencies assess the academic documents submitted according to their internal methodology. A previously evaluated título propio does not “elevate” or modify the status of a separate bachelor’s credential. My evaluation reflects the documentation provided at the time of review. I cannot speculate about hypothetical outcomes for other applicants.

(02-27-2026, 08:29 AM)Thank you for your response. I agree that discussions should remain factual. Wrote: To clarify, my point is not about whether the English word “university” is legally restricted in France. The key issue is that the entity in question EIU- Paris is registered in France as a Private distance learning centre, not as a recognised private university
While it is correct that having a UAI number indicates registration within the French education system, it does not grant the status of a private university. That distinction is important. Even its assumable that they are self proclaiming themselves as a private university as they have this word in their incorporation name
The concern is not that all private institutions are illegitimate. The concern is transparency. When an institution uses the term “University” in its branding while being legally registered as a distance learning centre, it may create an impression of official university status that does not align with its legal classification.

Regarding credential evaluations, while outcomes may vary case by case, the general position of major recognition bodies is that autonomous or non-state-recognised awards are assessed differently from national diplomas. That is a structural distinction.
This discussion is about ensuring that prospective students clearly understand:
• The legal status of the institution is not a university and its a Tutition Distance Learning Center- No Where it says EIU-Paris is a university apart from they themselves.
• The type of qualification being issued are not degrees and are only autonomous certificates

Clear disclosure is important

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the thoughtful engagement, and we agree on the core legal point. EIU–Paris is indeed registered as a private distance learning institution, and is not a private university within the LMD framework. Due diligence is essential in this sector, and prospective students must understand the legal nature of what they are enrolling in.

EIU–Paris requires applicants to formally acknowledge the legal nature of the institution and its awards before enrollment, publishes disclosures widely on its website, and discloses them within the award document and on the transcripts themselves.

Examples of institutions operating under similar UAI registrations and using the English term “University” in their branding include the following.
(None of these UAI registrations, in themselves, confer the status of a state-recognized private university within the French higher education framework)
The use of “University” appears to be a common branding practice among privately registered institutions operating outside the LMD system.

Under French law, the registration status of the following allow them to operate and issue institutional diplomas, known as diplômes d’établissement. These are autonomous institutional awards, not national diplomas. Their recognition is determined externally at the discretion of universities, evaluators, employers, or other authorities.

That classification places EIU–Paris within the broader category of private institutions holding a UAI registration and operating under the French Education Code provisions applicable to private providers.

*Note Qualiopi certification relates to professional training quality standards and is delivered by certification bodies accredited by COFRAC, the French national accreditation authority. It does not constitute academic degree recognition and has no bearing on inclusion within the French LMD framework. Qualiopi applies to training activity, not to the legal status of degrees.

For me personally, at approximately 1,000 to 2,000 EUR, the BBA top-up was a worthwhile academic exercise. I subsequently completed a UK BSc (Hons) and OTHM Level 6 Diploma, so the credential itself was not foundational to my later academic path. However, I did value the learning experience.

The comparison with certain Barcelona-based models is relevant in that both rely on proprietary or autonomous awards rather than nationally recognized degrees. In Spain, a título propio is issued by a recognized university but is not a degree recognized by the Ministry of Education. In France, institutions such as EIU–Paris issue diplômes d’établissement, which are autonomous awards and not national diplomas.

These frameworks are different, but both operate within their respective legal systems.

The legal classification here is precise: a private distance learning institution issuing autonomous institutional diplomas, with recognition determined externally.
Reasonable people may disagree on the value of such awards. That perspective is entirely legitimate. But the legal status itself is clear.

Ultimately, it seems this is not an institution you would personally choose, and you would likely encourage others to consider different options. Your objections have been clearly stated, and that perspective is entirely respectable.

i think you are the lucky one with an exception whose degree got accepted - congratulations -

Good that you agree too that  European International University (EIU–Paris) is not recognized as a university, then it is important to communicate that clearly and transparently on their website as a private tuition or distance learning center would require an explicit and visible disclaimer to avoid creating a misleading impression. If such clarification is not clearly presented on its official website, that raises legitimate concerns about transparency and public representation.

Regarding the BBA “top-up” program consisting of five modules, serious academic questions arise if such a pathway effectively compresses what is typically a three-year, 20+ module undergraduate curriculum into a matter of months. Programs structured in this way of accelerated credentialing without equivalent academic rigor, which understandably invites scrutiny.

If your qualification was accepted as an exception, then that outcome may have been based on your prior studies or individual merit. In that case, congratulations on achieving recognition. However, isolated approvals do not necessarily validate the overall structure or standing of the program and such programs should not exist
