So there I was, sitting at my desk last night at about 1:40 am. I was half way through my shift when I turned and started yelling at a Sergeant that sat next to me on my left. I told him, "get your boots down and stop kicking my desk". My computer monitors were moving, then my chair started moving, then my coffee cup almost spilled. The sergeant said, "it's not me" and he was freaking out. After about 10 seconds it stopped, then someone yelled we just experienced an earthquake. I guess it was just a tremor because it wasn't too strong. The actual earthquake had hit near the Pakistan border, and we just got the leftovers.
So now I can say I have been through my very first earthquake, in Afghanistan of all places.
