I'm not experienced enough with this whole process (only 3 CLEPs down) to give anyone any practical advice on this situation.
I fall on the conservative side of the political spectrum, and it does concern me that they have eliminated their general education requirements and have copied and pasted the Essential Learning Outcomes from Liberal Education and America's Promise (LEAP). LEAP | Vision
LEAP's Essential Learning Outcomes:
Knowledge of Human Cultures and the Physical and Natural World
Intellectual and Practical Skills
Personal and Social Responsibility
Integrative and Applied Learning
TESC's New General Ed. Requirements:
1.) Intellectual and practical skills (15 credits)
2.) Human cultures and the physical and natural world
3.) Personal and social responsibility (9 credits)
4.) Integrative and applied learning (18 credits).
Their vision for education does not fit mine. I am not complaining. They can allign their requirements with whomever they wish, and I have other choices.
