It's odd that someone as old as your mother was taught that "homosexuality is positive" and experienced all of the other things you said, but this is not how most public schools operate. My sister graduated from high school 4 years ago and never experienced the things you said.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I am guessing that maybe your public schools are better because you live in Texas. I suppose this would be the least likely state where these messages would be taught.
