Hey all,
I am inspired to help my mother who is now 81 and has college credits she earned in the 1950's and 1960's. She was in the convent from ages 17-27 and went to Mallinckrodt College which is affiliated with Seton Hall (or was because she said the credits went there and transferred from Seton Hall to Hunter). Then later she went to Hunter College (CUNY) and transferred credits from Mallinckrodt, though Hunter did not accept all her credits (they would not take her History or English, which is odd).
I am requesting transcripts for her from these schools so we can see if she can get a degree through one of the Big 3. She definitely has earned at least 64 credits through Hunter and what she was able to transfer. I just have to get the transcript for Mallinckrodt to see what other credits she'd earned that Hunter had not accepted.
Now it's been a long time and all, so I am wondering if this is possible and if the Big 3 will accept the credits or if there's another route we should take?
She doesn't really care all that much about it, just thought it would be really *nice* to get the degree since she did do all that work. I think it would just be a nice thing for her, but obviously she's not going to be doing a whole lot of coursework at her age.
Your thoughts?
