Canadian Nice

...What's with these people? No one crosses in the middle of the road. It's always at the crosswalk. Drivers don't run red (or even yellow) lights.

I've lived in Southern Ontario for 63 of my 72 years. Yes, Canadians are generally nice. I'm the exception that proves the rule. Being nice has nothing much to do with crossing the road. We realize our free health care is no good if we get killed, so we avoid death. Simple.

Red/yellow lights? Plenty of Canadians are feeling an economic pinch. With prospect of a huge fine, ever the meanest driver will hesitate to run a red light!
