There is no enrollment fee, you will automatically be enrolled in the per-credit tuition plan starting around March 10th (10 days after a new term starts, I think). Then, you will have 12 months to pass a TECEP (not just sign up, but pass, and you need to be careful about waiting too long to register for a TECEP). You are enrolled under the 2016 catalog, so you should start working on getting your degree plan worked out with that information.
They will evaluate more than 2 transcripts, not sure that there is a max, I've never heard of that one (although I certainly could be wrong). When I applied, I had transcripts from 4 schools, ACE, CLEP and DSST and they evaluated everything.
Regarding Straighterline, you can have those sent to ACE, but you can also have them sent directly to TESU, who is a partner college. I would do both. Any other courses you might take that are ACE-approved can be sent to ACE, and then you can send that transcript in whenever you'd like (I normally like to wait, as it costs money to send, plus they take about 4 weeks to evaluate).
Your UExcel will also be sent in separately on an EC/UExcel transcript. They are not through ACE.
You can wait to start taking TECEP's, although I recommend starting sooner rather than later. For whatever reason, people seem scared of TECEP's, but so far I haven't found that to be the case. Just sign up and take an easy one, and get it over with! I recommend Applied Math or Technical Writing first.
