Glad to hear you have a strategy that works for you. Other people have altogether different situations to yours.

But when someone says no testing due to distance, I think that's a poor reason. OP didn't mention an underlying reason besides distance.

Much better reasons include babysitting, disability, test anxiety, living outside of the continental US, etc. Not taking tests will cost you a lot of time and money.
