With every job I had where the max number of hours ended in a "9", they all were the worst employers, came with no employer subsidized health insurance, and the pay stunk too. And with that type of job, being hard to schedule makes you unemployable. I see why scheduling a DSST would be hard, why you need a second part-time job, and why you need an inexpensive solution. I used to be in the same situation 20 years ago with multiple part-time jobs, and I changed it ASAP as I knew it was a crappy situation. More recently, I took a job with max hours that ended in "9" due to the recession pay cuts. I quit that job as soon as the pay cuts were rescinded at my main job. This isn't an employment board, so I'll stop here.
