That right there has been a problem some places I've been. Vet preference is all well and good, but it needs to be applied among those actually qualified for the job. The fact that some spots automatically bump any vet into 'most qualified' bugs me to no end. I had a place tell me that I'd be an automatic hire for a senior mechanic position when I have absolutely no experience in the job.
