The Comprehensive Tuition Plan at TESU just went up, by a lot, for NJ residents! If I would have signed up two weeks ago (before April 1) I could have done my degree for very little. Now, it would cost me about $1500, after my Pell Grants. That's just a little bit cheaper than the residency fee (if I sign up as a Study.com affiliate), but it does include the price of the courses.
To clarify - TESU evaluated my transcript and I have about 95 credits altogether, right now. I need 150 credits to sit for the CPA, so that is my goal, but I can test out of most of them.
Right now I need about 5 more accounting classes, so I would have to take another 3 classes to get the full Pell grant. So, it would take a little longer, but I guess that wouldn't be too terrible. My real hesitation is about the classes themselves - as I said, I haven't seen much feedback, and what I've seen suggests that they have not updated their methods at all. Most colleges today use interactive software such as Connect, I would assume that makes learning a bit easier, but I may be wrong.
Has anyone taken TESU's online classes - and if so - how was your experience? Thanks.
