English Lit is not an English 101 replacement. College Comp is for the basic English requirement. English Lit gets you two literature courses: LIT-208 English Literature and LIT-209 English Literature II, but A&I Lit has less memorizing. People used to constantly do A&I Lit with zero studying, or maybe 1 hour of looking over terminology. Now apparently it's gotten harder, but I still find it to be similar to the SAT verbal questions. A&I Lit is also not an English 101. A&I Lit is most recommended as you get 6 credits. You also get 6 for English Lit. It's possible English Lit would be easier for someone who is only okay at analysis/comprehension.
I would suggest Modern States and also doing at least one other type of course/book. At Modern States they can see if you did all the "homework" and all the of the sample review questions. Homework is just 1-8 questions.
