I'm just going to respond in one message to the different postings.
Thank you for your advice.
I'm not really asking about what academic pathway I need to take (i.e. PhD vs. DBA). I'm asking if anyone knows of a reasonably priced DBA program. If you don't, it's okay to just say nope or keep scrolling.
I am informed regarding accreditation standards for business schools. I did not state that I had a preference for a certain accreditation. My concern is that I wanted a DBA program similar to the one offered at UNCC. There just aren't a lot out there. I do see one at Capella with various concentrations, but I'd prefer not to go the route of a for-profit only because they are frowned upon in my industry (right or wrong).
I also am not interested in teaching at this point. In my industry, I really could teach with an MS, but I'm not looking to do that either.
It's likely that the AACSB accreditation influences cost, but disagree that the AACSB accreditation is the only factor for the high cost. My MS is from an AACSB accredited school and it was very reasonably priced even compared to many universities that were not AACSB approved. It was less than 20K.
I am already in my industry (15 years now) and am not interested in teaching so a PhD will not serve my purpose. I want the DBA. I'll keep exploring options. Thank you for your input.

Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.
