We'll after a few days of waffling I finally did land on taking Analyzing and Intrepting Literature. (Thanks Ana for the recommendation.) It became a choice of memorization over critical thinking - yeah it was a gamble. 
I took the exam this morning and was shocked to see the result - 71! And I really didn't have to work very hard to get it, in terms of study.
