Curious what you mean by "the pages didn't split so I had to decide when the next page was and when to put the heading and number". Also you mentioned splitting every line for spacing. I got my score (67) back for the test late last week and I definitely didn't do any of what you just mentioned. I'd say don't worry about it. Then again I also kind of disregarded other potentially useful advice like take a few minutes to write an outline. I've also been a pretty decent writer and test taker, so maybe I just got lucky but what I did for the essay citations was generally along the lines of "According to Locke (2008) in his book Neverland...".
