I've never heard that you have to do APA style formatting - I think it's simpler than that (although I could be wrong).

it says just pick APA or MLA whichever your more comfortable with.

I guess it's more of I've never heard anyone discuss this when doing the exam. So I think you've made it more complicated than you needed to.

Are you suggesting I don't worry about the writing format? What do you mean?
