I thought this thread deserved a bump and some updates, I figure a few folks have likely profited from their degree since the last round of posts. I just got a new job with a nice bump in pay. This was by far the smoothest the job hunting process has ever gone. I was interviewing for four different positions, and got three of them into the offer stage...which helped increase the size of the offer I did accept. I know for a fact that three of the four would NOT have interviewed me without the degree...and the one that might have was the least attractive of the four, a smaller company doing less interesting tech (and not the one I chose).
