I highly recommend for active service people to use the Big 3 to complete their degrees, especially for TESU as you can get the degree really cheap/easy - somewhat fast: Here's the TESU link with more info: https://www.tesu.edu/military/tuition-fees
Unfortunately I am no longer active duty. I retired last year. I do receive the military rate though as I work for the Department of Defense as a civilian. I am not sure if that makes a difference though.
I THINK (but am not 100% certain) that retired military can still use TECEP's for residency, so definitely ask about that and DOD. If so, you NEED to do those to keep your fees down - no residency waiver. Please report back on what they say.
I received a response back from TESU today. TECEPS do count towards the 24 credit residency requirement for DOD employees and military. I’m already taking their ethics class, but need to look at what TECEPS to take to finish off the rest of my non-capstone requirements.
