I'm definitely aware of the concerns with that.
I'm in contact with CSWE (who isn't exactly helpful... they evaluate only actual transcripts from completed degrees, and won't even tell me if they have ever approved a UNISA MSW, which seems... ridiculous.)
But I am of the impression that if CSWE recognizes an MSW as meeting their accreditation standards, that most if not all state social work licensing boards defer to CSWE to determine the acceptability of a given degree. Have you heard or found otherwise? Some states I know have state-specific requirements you have to complete if your school does not offer them, but the states that have these requirements (CA is supposed to be one of the worst in this regard) generally have various providers where you can complete the CEs relatively quickly.
All of this is up in the air at the moment, and I'm definitely playing it conservative. But if I can somehow get a commitment that UNISA is acceptable, the combination of the depth of the program and the low cost makes it very appealing.
