I managed to rack up close to 150 hours without ever applying for graduation and now with an assortment of transcripts and having moved 3 times I would at the very least have to meet 30 hours or so of residency at a nearby school to graduate. I am almost done with the ENEB degree and wonder if it would work at least with ECE verification. It will take me another year to hit the 6,000 hours of experience required for the exam anyway, so if I have to pursue a Bachelors it will be a hassle, but doable.
Below is the requirement;
"CFP Board must receive an official electronic transcript showing conferral of a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline from an accredited college or university. Accreditation must be recognized by U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree is awarded."
https://www.cfp.net/get-certified/tools-...urces/faqs
"International degrees may be substituted for a U.S. undergraduate degree if they receive bachelor’s degree equivalency from a third-party evaluation agency that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). You should request a document-by-document evaluation."
If you need a Bachelor's for the exam, the ECE eval should be fine.
@FatGuy, which one are you doing? The MBA only or the MBA & Masters? If MBA & Masters, which Masters have you decided on?
For those reading and to elaborate, the "document by document" actually means it should be course by course evaluation.
It would be fair to say that we don't know whether a "course by course" evaluation will get the same Bachelor's equivalency as a general evaluation from ECE. The other forum member did not do this type of evaluatiion. The U.S. credential evaluators land all over the place with Universidad Isabel I (ENEB) credentials. But they are most frequently seen as a legitimate source of earned college credit.
