I think we're having this discussion because it's a discussion board and, more specifically, the Off-Topics forum of a discussion board and all sorts of things get posted for discussion. If you find it bothersome then there's no need to involve yourself. Secondly, vaccinated people are, in fact, getting mild cases of the Delta variant . The reason it's mild for them is because they are vaccinated. They are, in fact, passing it on but if you're vaccinated you will only get a mild case. Non-vaccinated people carry a much higher risk. Vaccination is the mitigation of that risk. As for requiring people to show their vaccination card, well it's an idea that's coming into use everywhere. Universities are requiring people be vaccinated. Many employers are now requiring their workers to be vaccinated. This generally requires the individual show proof of vaccination - that means, show your card. Some people might produce fake ones. After all, people can get all sorts of fake identification cards such as driver's licenses, but we still require people to have real drivers licenses because the vast majority of people will follow the law (for a variety of reasons).
According to a study by the Cleveland Clinic, at least one of the problems of requiring a vaccine card is that the government is ignoring the science of covid natural immunity once you have been infected. So they don't need a vaccine.

I don't think these mandates will make much difference. However, I do find it a shame that our nurses and doctors were our heroes in 2020, and now we are forcing fascism on them by making them take the vaccine or lose their job.
