I took Accounting Information Systems elsewhere while I was enrolled at UMPI. I wanted it to learn the material and because a lot of accounting masters programs require it as a prerequisite. I emailed Jessica to ask what I needed to do, if it was alright to take it, etc. She said since it was NOT a course available through YourPace, that I could take it at the other school and did not need to report it to UMPI or have their permission to take it. I did not, however, try to transfer the course back to UMPI to have it as a transfer course on that transcript. Since Calculus is not available through UMPI YourPace, I would image they wouldn’t care if you took it elsewhere. Probably would need to email Jessica, unless somebody else has transferred in courses that are not needed on the degree plan while enrolled and can help with that one.
I transferred in “applied calculus” to UMPI; took it prior to enrolling at UMPI. On my transcript, it is listed as “applied calculus”. I had a prior BA and had a bunch of courses that didn’t have a matching course at UMPI. They all have their titles copied directly from the other transcript onto the UMPI transcript. I would suspect that Business Calculus would show up as Business Calculus.
