Texas A&M University-Commerce competency based degree
#22

They also have a competency-based BS in Criminal Justice. It's unknown whether the same flat-rate pricing applies to that program as well. It lists no cost information.

Also, for 2022, their athletics have upgraded to a Division I school.

This program might become competitive with UMPI for some since the pricing is similar. Texas A&M Commerce may be the stronger brand with more potential for regional relevance and connections for those who may live or work in the Mid-South and Southwest regions. (Or those who want to. Lots of space to live in Texas.)

Personally, I'm applying to see what credits will transfer. If the gap to completion seems like a doable/affordable thing, I may pull the trigger. I'm driving distance from campus and could get more involved than I could most other schools frequently discussed on the forum.

I am going to revive an old thread.

I wanted to add this clause that I found in the catalog, since there was an asterisk on one of the pages describing the BAAS Organizational Leadership tuition:

"Students living in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma counties or parishes that border Texas qualify to pay Texas resident tuition rates.  Oklahoma residents in non-bordering counties pay Texas resident rates plus $30 per semester credit hour."

http://catalog.tamuc.edu/undergrad/admin...n_and_fees

@raycathode - I bring that up because I seem to remember you saying you were in Louisiana. If you happen to live in a border parish like me, the tuition just got a helluva lot better.

Just throwing that out there in case it helps someone and they missed it the first few times looking at the site like I did.
