It’s my favorite noise generator and I use it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Dr. Stéphane Pigeon is a saint! He developed the site to help with tinnitus and it exploded from there. All it takes is a donation of at least a dollar and you get access to all the generators and add-ons forever. The iOS app only takes a one-time payment of (I think) $5.99 and you get all past and future soundscapes forever.

I use it for work, study, reading, writing. The shussher generator saved my sanity when my infant son was super fussy and couldn’t sleep. I mean, it’s honestly one of my favorite things ever. Not even exaggerating.

He goes out to the field and professionally records the natural sounds with professional equipment. If he can’t get to a location, he contracts contributors to capture the sounds. They have so many different noises and soundscapes for just about every situation imaginable: sleep, study, health, nature, concentration, soundscapes for RPGamers, babies, creepy soundscapes, etc., etc.

He’s also super active with his users and encourages people to e-mail him with suggestions, which I’ve done a few times.

While it’s totally worth it to donate to get access to everything, you can listen to a lot of the sounds for free. I’m kind of shocked that I’ve never posted about it on this forum before. It’s perfect for our users.

I’d encourage everyone to give it a shot and throw him a few bucks if you find it useful. I’m not affiliated with the site except as a supremely satisfied user, so this isn’t a paid ad. It’s just been so useful to me in my everyday life that I try to tell everyone about it.
