That is fairly normal. As an full-time, in-person PhD student I had to do this 3/4 times a year at minimum. The difference is that it will be expensive for someone not sponsored by an in-presence sponsor where the costs of doing so are paid for you.
The international conference for people living in the US is somewhat resolvable since from the Philippines' perspective the US is international. The national, on the other hand, I would carefully investigate whether there are any Filipino conferences in your preferred field that are online since COVID. That is likely the easiest way if you have no interest in a Philippines vacation.
