You might be surprised. I would suggest checking out websites for American expats living in Germany. I am not fluent in German, so some of the more advanced research was beyond my abilities, but what I found a few years back did seem to suggest that it was possible for a GED-holder without an actual Associate degree to study at a German university, so long as they transferred from an American university first.
could you send me a link to where you read about that?

The TESU option is most optimal since those XAMK and other foreign credits from ENEB can hit some AOS requirements as well. You are on the right path, get started with some credits and ladder up to an Associates or two at TESU, and finally finish that Bachelors. Create a spreadsheet using the templates available on the WIKI for a guide and reference.
will do, but as far as i have planned it now I will most likely enroll into the UMPI AA in Liberal Studies and get as many needed credits, transfer them into the HSD and get both done around the same time. then I will apply as a transfer student to my dream universities and pray they accept me. If not Switzerland it is.
Now that we are on this topic I am kind of interested in ENEB for my father. He and my mom are divorced for the longest time, he was a very successful business man in his home country til he left to come here and has several years of experience in import export and the steel industry. He has no GED or anything comparable, what would be the most cost efficient way for him to leverage ENEB and/or maybe a US bachelors to get back on track with his career? Im talking about the fastest and cheapest way because unfortunately for him money is an obstacle right now and he wouldnt accept a penny of help
