Can you do this as many times as you want? I'm asking because Western Governors University (WGU) doesn't let you transfer more credits once you've begun taking classes with them. If I didn't meet all the requirements or have enough credits at Piperpong or UMPI after transferring in all the courses initially I could do more courses through Sophia, or maybe Study.com, CLEP, or DSST and hopefully get a degree or two. Thanks.
WGU is the only school that does this from the ones commonly referred to here; once you enroll, you are done with transfers.
UMPI will allow you to continue transferring up until the date that you begin courses, and you can also request permission to continue taking outside courses.
TESU allows you to bring in courses all the way up until graduation; the only caveat is that you have to be an enrolled student to get unlimited evaluations. But that's easy and cheap to do ($52).
Excelsior allows you to bring in courses all the way up until graduation with the caveat that they will charge $300 for each evaluation after the first one. So your best bet there, if you want to save money, is to take ALL of the 113cr you plan on transferring in, choosing courses that we know will work, and then getting a single evaluation when you apply, then taking your final 3 courses there.
Are there other colleges for a bachelor's degree where can also finish without taking any class with them, by transferring from places like CLEP, DSST, Sophia, Study.com, etc?
According to this page UMPI requires a foreign language course: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pi...egree_Plan. Or you're supposed to take something called an ACTFL exam. English is a second language for me but I don't know if I could pass an exam for any other language. So it sounds like UMPI is ruled out for me. It sounds like I'm only going to be getting an associate degree from Piperpont and then a bachelor's from WGU, unless I get suggestion for other colleges where I can finish with mostly CLEP, DSST, Sophia, Study.com, and places like that.
Also for UMPI according to that page it sounds like you need to do 4 Coursera certifications which could take a month each and 3 courses at Sophia (Intro to programming with Python, Intro to Relational Databases, Intro to web development) under Information Systems under Area of Emphasis on that page. So we're looking at maybe 5 months it sounds like. I think WGU would probably take me about the same time or maybe a little bit more so I think I'll just do the bachelor's at WGU. Thanks, I really appreciate all the info.
Edit: I want to do an associate degree in case for some reason I'm not able to finish a bachelor's at WGU, so I have something, and can maybe get a nice job. But I would try to study as hard as I can to finish the WGU bachelors of course.
