They've changed the way they allocate credits per classes/overall credits. They now state each class is only worth 2.31 US credits, as opposed to what they used to evaluate them as (3.00 per class).
If anyone still plans on using them for an FCE, it's cheaper to wait until you have two or more degrees.
Unfortunately, I feel like I got hosed today. They told me via email last week, and it's also listed on the website, that any additional degree evaluations for post-secondary course by course evaluations are only $99.00. They changed this on me today when I tried to get my second degree evaluated, and now want to charge me the full price. They say the $99.00 fee for additional degree evaluations is only good if you order it in the same order as your first evaluation. When I asked for clarification because that's not what I was told and submitted screenshots, the manager stated it's because their system won't recognize the $99.00 additional order and will be entered as a new order. WTH?
Validential has always valued the credits at 2.31; unless requested to match the US 3.0 format, that is how your transcripts will show. All you have to do is request the US 3.0 value, and there are several transcripts online (in this forum) if you need to provide examples of them granting this request. Knowing this, I requested it on the front end and had zero pushback.
Hmm, I was under the impression from Ashkir and Michael that Validential initially evaluated theirs as 3.0 per class without them asking for any revisions? Validential even said it was a recent change they implemented. When I asked Validential about why mine was evaluated as 2.31 per class and mentioned to them that they evaluated others as 3.0, they refused to change it to 3.0 per class.
So, they allowed it for yours, yet wouldn't change mine?
I can't speak on Ashkir as I don't recall; however, Michael is included in the thread mentioning the request and how at first, there was a charge request for the revision that was later waived.
There was no issue with the request or fee for me. Did you approve the valuation and now are asking for a revision? I could see them holding their ground in that case. Don't take no for an answer and escalate it; I am optimistic they will approve it.
I must have missed that post from Michael.
When they sent me the evaluation for approval, I returned it for revision, and noted that others were evaluated as 3.0 per class, and asked why mine was only evaluated at 2.31 etc. They returned it to me without revision, refused to change it to 3.0 per class, and told me they changed how they evaluated. I emailed another department about it and they never got back to me. What's done is done, but after misrepresenting the price they quoted me and that's listed on their website for an additional evaluation, and shaving off credits for me, but giving other students proper credit, I'm not happy with them.
