I think it's actually 4 terms at TAMUC would be $3000 and 2 terms at UMPI would be $3000? Your point is correct about twice as quick and cost the same, though.
Each in-state term at TAMUC is $750 unless there's an additional discount for certain public service professions that the student can qualify for (I think law enforcement and firefighters?).
