Undergraduate is 6 credits for PT (aka Half-Time). However, your friend would have to be actually enrolled and taking the courses from a recognized college/university (not the alternative credit sources we talk about here) - which is just adding another expense. At some point they will have to pay on the parent plus loan (and it is just going to keep adding interest).
